About Us

Inspired by her background in Fine Art, Joan Hawkins is known for transitional eclectic design. She incorporates her client’s artifacts and collections into her design framework to help articulate their personal aesthetics. Joan sees her role as “assisting in writing a ‘narrative’ with my clients’ in their spaces.” Her style features unexpected contrasts in furniture, art, and finishes, that are made cohesive throughout the interior spaces with her use of color theory and composition.

Joan’s design process begins with the client. She believes that, above all, the first step is to develop a trusting relationship with them and let the project emerge organically while educating on design principles of scale, proportion, pattern, composition and aesthetic. Joan reaches across a wide spectrum in the decorative arts from classic to modern in creating high design.

We are able to assist you with a wide range of services in order to find the best custom shades for your home. Located in Ridgeland, Joan’s boutique showroom and design library is open Monday through Friday.
